Pennsylvania Players Can Now Access Live Dealer Blackjack Games in Spanish

Evolution has now launched live blackjack games with Spanish-speaking dealers. The company provides many live dealer games to online casinos in Pennsylvania. It began broadcasting live dealer blackjack games in Spanish on August 15th on the apps of its Pennsylvania online casino partners.

A number of online casino licensees in New Jersey and Pennsylvania partner with Evolution. Its VIP Spanish-language blackjack games are now available on apps in both states. Players can access the game at a PA online casino using a well-known app like betPARX.

The launch comes five months after Evolution evaluated the format where croupiers only use Spanish in games in its New Jersey studios. The games were so well received that Evolution decided to expand the high-stakes Spanish-speaking table to neighboring states. The “VIP Blackjack en Español” offers higher table limits and provides an exclusive gaming experience for players.

What is live dealer blackjack?

Live dealer blackjack is a digital version of the classic card game. It offers an immersive experience that brings all the thrill of a physical casino experience right to the screens of players. Players interact with highly trained human dealers in real-time as they manage gameplay. They use their devices to place bets just as they would at a physical casino. Live chat adds a social dimension to the game by allowing them to speak to the dealer and other players.

In Pennsylvania, live dealer games bring in over 50% of online table game revenue. Spanish-language live blackjack will add another dimension and appeal to a wider audience.

What else is Evolution working on?

Evolution is busy working on a Spanish version of its Infinite Blackjack for New Jersey later this year. Infinite blackjack accommodates an unlimited number of players. It eliminates wait times by allowing an infinite number of players to join a table.

Native Spanish speakers are prolific

Spanish is not the most spoken language in the world but is one of the most popular. In 2022, the Census Bureau estimated that around 68 million people in the U.S. spoke a language other than English in their homes. The dominant language amongst this subset was Spanish.

Many citizens of New Jersey speak Spanish as their native language. Fewer Pennsylvanians speak Spanish as their home language but still make up about 6% of the population. In Connecticut, almost 13% of residents speak Spanish as their home language. Connecticut could be the next market for introducing Spanish-language live dealer games.

It’s not certain whether having Spanish as a home language could deter residents from playing live dealer games in English but Evolution aims to find out.

A pioneer of non-English tables

Evolution is a pioneer of non-English tables which it has been offering to European clients since 2012. This was when it launched roulette tables with Italian-speaking dealers. The latest step is nothing new as it already represents about 30 languages and dialects globally. Evolution sees inclusiveness as one of those important life lessons to learn. Introducing live blackjack in the Spanish language makes it more inclusive and allows a wider audience to access the game.

What the future holds

It was a good idea to start with blackjack and the Spanish language. With its success, it could start offering other live dealer games in Spanish in the future. Some of the live versions of games it currently offers besides blackjack include craps, roulette, baccarat, and Sic Bo. You never know – it may even launch live dealer games in other languages for the U.S. market in the future.
